Motorhome full-insurance inclusive packs
Most NZ motorhome rentals come with a high standard insurance excess. A full-insurance pack reduces it — here's how it works and when it's worth paying for. Full guide coming soon.
This insurance-pack explainer is being written. Every NZ rental motorhome includes basic insurance, but with a high excess (often NZ$3,000–7,500) that you're liable for if anything happens. A “full insurance” or excess-inclusive pack is an optional daily top-up that reduces or removes that excess, and usually adds cover for windscreen, tyres and underbody.
While the full breakdown is in progress, a planner can talk you through whether the operator's pack or a third-party excess policy is the better value for your trip length and route.
